Events and Adventures is awesome. It’s a social club where you get to meet a bunch of new people at every activity you attend. There are tons of different options you can choose from every month. There is always a good variety of activities that anyone can be interested in. I have met a few people that I keep in touch with. The event manager, Michelle, is very easy to talk to and very welcoming. Every event has a host that helps to coordinate activities and they always make sure that no one is left out and that everyone is having a great time. I am so happy that I joined Events and Adventures.

I really do enjoy this group being an outsider to Chicago. As long you are willing to be outward, friendly, and easy-going you will find at least some level of social engagement at their activities. Mostly I’ve enjoyed the events that I’ve attended. Michelle, the manager, is freaking amazing and congenial! It is certainly a superior alternative to online dating matchups.Its dues are a serious expense for my own budget. A portion of the events are out of my price range (divorced, single father).The group at times seems geared toward a childless, middle class income or higher, with a significant level of disposable income. Reality, in my experience you need to live in the city to reap the maximum benefits of this group. I live on the far northside and that has made the facility and expense of reaching many events a bit tenuous. They do not allow kids under any circumstances, please be mindful of that if you do.

I joined this organization to meet new people and participate in events I didn’t have to plan. I’ve had a great time doing things I like and making friends. My favorite event was making tapas and learning how to salsa.

Events and Adventures is as wonderful as I had thought it would be based upon my interview with staff. There is no pressure at all, you participate in events which you choose and just go be yourself. I was accepted immediately for who I am and there has never been a feeling like I need to present myself as anything other than who I am, which is completely different than the dating scene. I have done things and gone places that I likely wouldn’t have done or gone, and enjoyed doing so with like minded people who simply want to enjoy each other’s company and enjoy the events. I’ll reiterate, since it’s very important to me, there’s no pressure with E&A, go have fun, do things and go places you normally wouldn’t do or go and be yourself, it really is that simple.

There are some reviews that are rather negative however, I would have to say that for me it’s been a very positive experience. Is it pricey, yes, a little but, the people you meet, experience you have, and memories you make are priceless. There is no pressure, easy going experience. The greatest part is you don’t have to coordinate or ever do these events alone.

I signed up just over two years ago with the intention of getting myself out and about, try new things and most importantly, meet new people. I’ve checked all three boxes and then some. The club is what you want to make of it, with different things to do essentially every day of the month. With just a little effort, this club and the people in it can literally change your life.

I just got back from the Memorial Day camping trip and it was fantastic! I loved meeting folks from Minneapolis. The campground was great. I enjoyed the activities and the food was excellent. I met new friends and got to know people I met before better. This club is exactly what I was looking for!!

I have been a member for several months now. There are a lot of quality events, some not so popular events and a ton of trips you can go on here. None of that would matter if it were not for the great people who are also members and go to the events. The event hosts are all awesome making this a great place to go do things with people who will become your good friends.

I joined E&A a few years ago to expand my friend pool, and get out to do things I wanted to do that I had no one to do them with. Since then, I’ve made a bunch of great friends, jumped out of an airplane, gone to locations in and around the city I wouldn’t have otherwise got to, and go on multiple camping trips a year. It’s a lot of fun, that I would recommend for anyone.

I just shared something on yelp but I guess I will do it here as well.All I can really say is that joining the club has been such a positive addition to my life. I was born and raised here in the city and through this group I have been able to learn more and explore more than I ever knew about my city. I have made some friendships and connections with like-minded people who just want to enjoy what this city has to offer. Its been a year since I joined and I have done things around this city that I don’t think I would have done on my own but have grown with these connections to know that there is a lot more to do and that I am capable of doing thanks to this group. I look forward to more new adventures and new friendships and connections during my time here.G.

I am not originally from Chicago, so I joined E&A as a way of getting out and having fun with a group of friends without the stress of planning every single thing. It has 100% met that goal for me – I have done everything from going to museums downtown to applepicking in Wisconsin. An added bonus – I ended up meeting someone at an event and we hit it off and have now been dating for over a year! As for the club demographics, most members are in the 30-45 yr old range, although there are people of every age range. The club has grown and become more diverse since I joined, which I really appreciate. Different people go to different types of events, so I always suggest mixing it up to meet the most members!

Events & Adventures is a lot of fun! Great way to meet new people. They offer group trips around the globe with other single people, and they have chapters across the country. It’s a club, and a little pricey, but it’s a nice way to try new excursions for single people. There are small events like restaurants and bar get-togethers, and big events, like Halloween/NYE parties and sports/theater outings. I traveled to New Zealand and Australia with E&A, made new friends all over Chicago, and got to try hang gliding with a group of new friends.

I would recommend Events and Adventures to anyone looking to try something new!Here’s the thing….you’re going to scroll down this page, and see other reviews from people who may not have had good experiences. I can’t speak for them…but I can say that when I first signed up, I was nervous as hell. I almost didn’t go to the interview, I was nervous to talk to people, nervous to go to my first event….but I went anyway.I can honestly say that over the past (almost) two years, I have crossed so many things off my bucket list, and have met so many new people. My favorite events have been skydiving, the awesome camping trips, and the New Year’s and Halloween parties!Yes, there are fees, yes some of the events have a cost…but you have to do ZERO planning. As an event planner, it’s so nice to be able to just show up to a fun event and be able to enjoy it, and not have to deal with the hassles of organizing and planning it. And there’s always new people to meet!I’ve met some people that have become some of my closest friends, and have also met an amazing guy through going to these events, and we have been dating for just about a year now.I will say this…it 100% depends on your mindset going into it. This club will NOT solve all your problems, or force you to talk to people. But it DID push me out of my comfort zone, get me to try new things, and by keeping an open mind, I have met people from so many different walks of life, with so many different perspectives.It is ALL about what YOU make of it. I would hands down recommend this club to everyone looking to meet new people, try new things, and to those that are willing to keep a positive, open mind about trying new things and talking to new people. I joined around 6 months ago, and I’ve met some great new people! I’ve also gotten the chance to do things I would never do on my own. I’ve always been an adventurous person who’s willing to do things I find fun by myself and I still do, but E&A has allowed me to do some new things that I wouldn’t have even begun to know how to set up by myself. I’ve only had one event that wasn’t worth it, but I’ve been able to sign up for lots of virtual event and meet people across the country as well as right here in Chicago. I think this club was the right decision for me, but I can see that it wouldn’t be for everyone!

Without fail I peruse reviews before using a service that I am not familiar with. People are passionate about what they love and what they don’t. Reviews also give businesses an opportunity to respond and get it right. This company has not failed to respond to every positive review; however, they don’t even acknowledge the individuals who have posted about their frustrations. This speaks volumes about this company’s ethics and their number one priority. Chicago is such an amazing place to explore. I’ve loved being a member and getting to go all over and do things I wouldn’t on my own. Best gift I’ve given to myself. Meeting people from all over and experiencing new things and new cities and new travel opportunities is what life is about.

I really enjoy all of the things I’ve been able to do in this club. So many people to meet and so many things to do. I originally signed up because I wanted to do the international travel! I have yet to do that because I’ve been having so much fun doing everything else they have to offer. if you are looking for something new and willing to go in full hearted you will love this and have no regrets

I moved to Chicago about a year ago not knowing anyone in the city and this group has been a godsend! The events are fun and the staff is awesome! So glad I made the decision to sign up with E&A. It has expanded my social life in ways that have been incredibly positive. Ivey got me set up and was thorough with explaining everything and answering my many questions. The events and the people have all been great and I’m looking forward to the travel. I feel like that’s the best thing about this, having something to look forward to and not having to hassle with the details of making the plans myself. Good club to join if you are single and want to meet decent people and do fun things. I am new to the area and it has been a social life saver for me. Good mix of people. Lots of divorcees like myself which I love about it. Always something fun to do.

Signing up was easy at the office, but I did have to schedule the appointment in advance and go in in person. They answered all my questions. There’s always something different going on and new members at each event. So far it has been a lot of fun!”

I work an insane amount of hours and really felt like my social life was suffering because of it. All of my friends are married or have moved and I was really struggling…this group has been amazing!! I’ve met such good people, we always try new things, and everything is already planned so it works great with my schedule. I can’t recommend it enough.

I’ve been a member of Events and Adventures for a year and a half. The people I’ve met have been AMAZING!! ANY time I go to an event one of my friends will be there. The places we’ve visited are fun and varied. I’ve made pottery projects, painted, played volleyball, learned new card & board games, went hang gliding, camping, gone out for brunches & dinners, and I’m looking forward to sky diving next month.

If you are new to the city or just looking to get out more, this is a great option. E & A has an array of events each month for all tastes and ages. I have been a member for a year and met some great people. I’ve also had a blast. Whether it is getting out after a hard day at work or setting out for a new adventure, I’ve always enjoyed the options. I’ve done everything from camping, to opera to theatre to wakeboarding to full moon firejam. This list doesn’t even include the amazing international trips like the Artic, Costa Rica, Thailand, etc.

Great way to meet people! Whether you’re looking to date or just make new friends, Events and Adventures provides a common ground from all over Chicago/Chicagoland to meet and mingle. Your experience is only limited by the events you’re willing to go to, which are wide ranging from adventurous excursions such as traveling to Thailand or Morocco and skydiving to casual board game nights and pick-up games of beach volleyball. There is turly a little of something for everyone!

If you sign up for it, be prepared to use it for the duration of the contract you sign. If you don’t, you’ll find yourself stuck with a rather large bill and little to show for it. The events and stuff they do really are cool, but I decided to stop going after a few negative interactions with some of the members. Can’t wait to be free of large monthly payments to them!

I’ve been a member for almost a year now, and I love it!!! I’m meeting a lot of amazing people and getting to do things I would have never thought of. One of my favorite events is Wallyball, which is offered usually a couple times a month in the cooler months (we play sand volleyball in the summer).

I joined E&A for several reasons: I wanted to meet new single people – done. I wanted to try things I have never tried before – done. I wanted to be able to go to events and not have to worry about planning, preparation, and logistics – done. I wanted to make lasting friendships – not done yet (my fault as I stopped going to events for a while) I wanted to meet someone special – not done yet but I didn’t expect that to happen over night. I have been a member for a little over 7 months am looking forward to many of the activities the club has planned over the next few months. I have also suggested activities that the club has put on the calendar the very next month. The bottom line (as with anything you get involved in) you get out what you put in.

I joined this group because I was tired of being a 3rd wheel with my current group of friends. I needed a fresh start with some new faces and it was the best decision I could have made for myself at that time. One of my favorite things about this group is being able to meet new people at every event I attend and yet still able to see familiar faces that I enjoy seeing. This group can be used to find friends, experience things you always wanted to, or find that special someone, it all depends on what you want it to be.

I joined E&A just over 2 years ago. I can honestly say the experience has changed my life. I was pretty shy and reserved when I first joined, but being in the club helped me crack out of my shell. I’ve become a bit of a social butterfly over the past couple years. The people in the club are really amazing. The vast majority of the people are super friendly and welcoming. After two years, I still meet new people at every event I go to. And there are a lot of great events too. I’ve been able to do some things I would have never had the chance to without the club. Things like Trampoline Dodgeball and Bubble Soccer, which are both tremendously fun. I wasn’t even aware these activities existed until I joined E&A. On top of all that, I’ve found that the event coordinator, Alex, has been extremely accommodating. The level of customer service that I’ve received from Events & Adventures is really uncommon these days. They have always tried to find a way to work with me. I would highly recommend this club to anyone who is looking for more in their social life.

Events and Adventures Chicago is amazing! One of my favorite events that I have come so far was hiking at Morton Arboretum. I met a bunch of new people I had never met before, as well as saw people who I have become friends with from other events. At this event, we hiked the trails of Morton Arboretum. We saw their colossal rock that is claimed to be as big as elephant! We hiked for 8.5 miles that day. It didn’t feel like it because I was among friends, new and old. What a wonderful way to bring people together for an event in nature.

I joined Events and Adventures (E&A) to hopefully meet that special someone, but also to increase my pool of friends as my two good friends moved out of state. Admittedly, I am still looking for the first, but E&A has surpassed my expectations with the later. I have done so many things with E&A that I would never have done alone (i.e. sky diving, hang gliding, rapids), and found things to do in Chicago that I never knew existed (i.e. Violet Hour, Trunk Club). If you are on the fence and can afford the cost of entry I would say take the leap, you will not regret it, I know I have not!
