When I moved to Houston, I was working from home and didn’t have any kind of network. For fear of becoming a hermit, I joined Events & Adventures and it was a great decision. I have had a great experience meeting people from all over town and had the opportunity to try things I wouldn’t have normally at different events. Best advice is to sign up and show up to anything that interests you!

Events and Adventures is a fantastic place to meet new people and explore the vibrant city of Houston! As a newcomer to Houston I did not knew no one. This group helped me break out of my shell and discover what Houston has to offer. From exciting events to adventurous activities, Events and Adventures provided the perfect platform for me to meet like-minded individuals and build a social network in my new city. Not what I was hoping it would be, and for $2k+ a year I wished there were more activities and less, go to X restaurant/bar and socialize/drink with the occasional trivia. Also, the amount of online events was also off putting, especially the ones that where locked to only 6 or so people.If your concerned about the other reviews that mention a $50k minimum yearly salary necessary to join, it’s basically there to make sure potential applicants have the money to afford to join.My honest opinion? If you have spare cash, and your only expectation is to meet new people, it’s not a bad place to go.

So I joined at the beginning of the year and so far have done 8 events, everyone has been fun and everyone is really nice. The event staff are very friendly and try to keep everyone active and have fun. Morgan and Stephanie have been my favorite so far. If your single and in your late 30’s or early 40’s this is definitely something to try.

Events and Adventures Houston is an amazing social club for singles that has an awesome group of members and an amazing events coordinator (shout out to the Morganizer!) who is an absolute BOSS! Being relatively new to Houston, I didn’t know the city or have friends here but I wanted to get out and enjoy the city with a crew of like minded individuals. E&A was the answer! So many good and organized events with something for everyone. From game nights to cooking classes to adrenaline junkie events and even fully organized international and national trips, this group has it all! Highly recommended!

Fantastic group to join to have events that are thoughtfully planned out. Great way to make contacts and socialize locally or if you travel out of state, you can join in on the happenings that are offered in that locale. The variety of choices has been pleasing, and so far all of the hosts for individual events in my area have been friendly and inviting. If you want to be playful, have fun, meet others that you might not run into in everyday life, and make connections, then give it a try. Probably not a group for someone who wants to be negative or critical of others.

JUST DO IT! Absolutely one of the best decisions I have made!1. Exactly what I was hoping for.- Seriously, I now have more friends and acquaintances to do more things with. A wide VARIETY of things! Everything from drinks and karaoke to my first trip to Vegas and the Grand Canyon. I was looking forward to travel opportunities and am STOKED about this trip! I am also looking forward to becoming a host.2. I was INFORMED of exactly what I was getting myself into.- I’m not sure who everyone else interviewed with, but my guy was thorough. He asked me questions about myself, talked about what Events & Adventures is, how it works, how much it cost, the different ways to pay, discounts for paying in full or signing on the first original call vs. waiting. If I remembered his name I would give him a shout out, I just remember he was from Dallas.- The website is easy to use and you can see additional costs up front, I was shown an example of this before I signed up so I fully understood.3. Fun things to do.- Like I said, there is a wide variety of things to do. Something everyday is awesome and sometimes there are multiple things on the same day. In person and some virtual.- I am so freakin’ excited about hang gliding this weekend with the Morganizer and others! Morgan was the host at the first event that I attended and did a great job explaining things.- I’m about to go on a camping trip with the group!- Should I go skydiving next month?!?!?! I can’t decide!- You can leave feedback on events after you attend them so the hosts can improve if needed.P.S. If you don’t pull the trigger before black Friday, do it then. I got a CRAZY AWESOME FREE YEAR added to my contract!!! The deal changes…. but who knows what this year’s deal might be.

Highly recommend if you are wanting to make new friends and try new places and not have to go alone if your new to the city or dont know many people. The calendar has so many different options each month and its so nice its all planned out all you have to do is show up and have fun. I like it because there is no pressure of dating. Everyone in the Houston group is so nice and welcoming, and the hosts are great.

I’ve been part of the Events & Adventures family in Houston for a while now, and it’s genuinely transformed my social life! Every month, there’s a whole calendar of cool events to look forward to. Whether you’re into outdoor adventures, cozy dinners, or trying something totally new, they’ve got you covered. And let me just say, Morgan Pagel is a superstar organizer! She makes sure every event runs smoothly and that everyone has a great time. Thanks to Morgan and the team, I’ve made some amazing friends and memories. Events & Adventures is such a fun and friendly environment to be comfortable in while meeting new people and exploring new adventures! The group travels all over the city as well as larger trips if you’d like. There is something every day of the month from dancing, painting, breweries to sports, dinner and shows! I met my boyfriend at and event and we don’t think we would have met otherwise!

I have been a member for over 2 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. I have made life long friends and memories that I will treasure forever. I would recommend anyone join this group. Reid is a wonderful organizer and cares a lot about making sure people are enjoying themselves. Ditch the apps. Spend money meeting real people in your major US city. Total can travel and view other cities and their schedules. I’m at the Double Tree in Greenway Plaza about to party it up with nearly a hundred singles. Hotel room after parties and roaming about this massive hotel. What did you do for new years?

I am so grateful for having Events and Adventures be available in my life when I started my membership and participation in October of 2019. Since participating, I have been a member for over 2 years and I am truly enjoying the perks of membership. I got to try out things I have never done before like goat yoga, hiking, adventure courses, camping and more. I also got to meet some wonderful new girl friends. The best part was being able to meet my now fiance, Cliff, on my first hike in November of 2019. Since meeting we started dating and after two years of having fun with Events and Adventures, we got engaged. Looking back, Events and Adventures gave me an opportunity to re-create my life again after being divorced. The many Events gave me amply opportunities to create fun and connect with new people. I am and will aways be forever grateful for Events and Adventures.

Events& Adventures is great!They do not disappoint when they say they will make you come out!I joined because I desperarely needed help to get out of my home. I am so busy that I usually forget to take time to relax. Having someone plan everything for me is an awesome perk. It is true you have to pay an annual or monthly fre. But it’s worth it.I get to go to places and participate in activities I will never have thought of.Go E&A!

Met my future wife in this group! Lots of fun activities, and made lots of friends. Just be sure to actually go to the events, otherwise you won’t get anything out of it. That’s usually why people leave negative reviews.

I joined E&A in March 2021 and have been enjoying it sooo much!!! I was intimidated when I first joined to get out and socialize with people I didn’t know. But all of the members I’ve met have been friendly and inviting.I recently went on a group trip to Portugal and Spain, which was amazing!!!! There were 29 members on the trip from different E&A groups all of the United States. Our itinerary was great and we got to see a ton of stuff and create new relationships with the other members. I’m already planning my next trip!

Events and Adventures is a great way to meet new people and attend many events that you would not normally even think of doing. Everyone is extremely friendly, including the staff members. There are so many opportunities for a wide variety of activities, many of which are free. I can’t wait to travel with the group as well.

If you’re looking for somewhere to go to make a genuine connection with others that have similar interests as you, definitely look no further! They encourage to get out of your comfort zone and really give different things a try. It’s the perfect organization to join if you’re new in town and have a hard time making new friends the traditional way. Best decision I’ve ever made.

If you want to meet people who have the same hobbies than you concerning adventure, sport, or sharing a really good time for a dinner or a party, EA is definitely made for you ! Through several events per weeks, you can find your pleasure in one ( all?! ) of these.I definitely recommend EA so check the website and become a member : you do not have more than to enjoy !

Love the club. I am not really an outgoing person, however the members are very welcoming. Even when I went to my first event at Joystixs I didn’t feel excluded though I was by myself. I have already met some great people and I’m glad I joined.

I have been a part of E&A group for 2 months now and I must say that I am really enjoying myself! The itinerary line up has been full of entertaining things to do and great ways to meet people. I have not dated anyone specifically, but I have enjoyed the people I have met on the last couple of events. I also like knowing that E&A is a group that has standards in accepting quality people and are thorough in selecting those that are members for my best interests. So while mingling and getting to know others there is no real fear of background checks or worrying about someone’s motives. The people that I have been meeting are very nice and friendly and appear to be a good group of company.This has been a fun experience so far and I am eager to continue to see what adventures are in store for me to discover. The goal is to find a great companion out of this journey. The best part is enjoying myself as I go.

I joined events and adventures, not only because I am single and have hardly anywhere where to go because so busy at work and dealing with pets at home, but because it sounded like fun. Going out with them several times and it is fun, events that I would’ve never had an idea of them. I choose to which one to go too and so far I can hardly wait to go to another one. Like I once said it to the staff, they are offering events and adventures and that is exactly what I needed. I have met friendly people very respectful, which know days it is hard to find. I am so happy I am in the CLUB!!!!!!

I’ve done more in DFW in 3 weeks, with this group of beautiful people, than I’ve done in 5 years living here. They keep it exciting and adventurous. Come join us! You will not be disappointed.

A great club for singles. I’ve been a part of this club for 2+ years now and I’m absolutely loving it. I’m always meeting new people and making new friends. I get to try new things and go to new places that I didn’t even know about. There are a wide variety of different events, so there is something for everyone. The theme parties are a blast. And the best part is there is always something planned for everyday. Sometimes they will plan 2 or 3 different events a day. They also plan and coordinate all the events so all you have to do is show up and enjoy yourself. I strongly recommend this club to all singles!

Joined several years ago. I have seen a lot of people come and go. There are people who are super outgoing and others who are not. Those who have been around for a while, others that are brand new. You will meet a lot people who would otherwise have never met up. I’ve made some great friends. I’ve seen several couples meet, get engaged, and get married within two years. None of the events are set up for dating. This is not a dating club. If you meet someone, hit it off, then who knows, It’s up to you. Some of the events can become repetitive after a while. It’s not perfect. If you are busy, and don’t have time to set up and organize events, this is a great club. You basically sign up and show up, that’s it. There is a point of contact for each event, a host, who will introduce everyone. Demographics are mostly 30’s to 40’s, there are younger and older people as well. You can do as little as you want or as much as you want.

Strongly recommend this activity club for singles! It is a great way to try new things and meet new friends from different areas of Houston. I never would have done half the things I’ve done with E&A if it weren’t for joining the group. Every event that I’ve been to was fun, and I always meet at least one new person at each event. This club is perfect for singles who want to get out and try something new.

This is no scam be prepared to have a lot of fun and meet new people!! The calendar is full with many options and they even include your pet occasionally. The hosts are very friendly and approachable and there is a number to reach someone all the time. Let;s not forget the food which has been great and always adds to the party. New to Texas this was a really good move for me. Thank you Events and Adventures!!

I can’t say enough great things about this club; I joined because I moved to Houston from out of state and knew no one. They worked with me on the monthly dues (poor, fresh outta college 24 yr old). I was struck by how friendly and approachable everyone is. The events are designed to be a laid back, group environment. Very easy to meet/talk to people. I’ve tried things (bubble soccer, archery, glass painting) and gone places (many restaurants, bars, party boats, camping/tubing trips) that I never would have on my own. I’ve met people from many different places, professions and ages, that I never could have in my normal day to day lifeBasically all of my friends (and long-term boyfriend) came into my life directly or indirectly from this club. If you’re considering joining for whatever reason; trying to make friends, maybe meet someone, explore the city, or just to get out of your shell – this club will give back to you, exactly what you put in. It was totally worth it for me!

I joined E&A because I was new to the area and wanted to jump start the, “getting to know my surroundings and make new friends” process. And it worked. The folks at E&A create an amazing schedule of events every month and offer a wide variety of activities, nights out on the town, camping trips, trips abroad, and various sports and other misc. events.Every staff member at E&A is amazing, friendly, and truly out for your success. This group is definitely what you make of it. Whether it’s finding new friends, wanting to get to know houston, or meeting other singles, this is the best way to do it. There is even opportunities to contribute more to the group and offer suggestions for events or start hosting some.I would recommend this to anyone who is new to the area or just needs a good reason to get out. It’s a great way to meet people and try new things.

Overall, I’m glad I joined but it is kind of what you’d expect for this type of group. Pros and cons from a newer member listed below though.I joined in March 2016 and enjoyed it for the first few months. It definitely helped me get out, meet new people, make a few friends, and explore Houston, which was what I wanted from the group.1. It is pricey to join. I joined for 3 years only because it was better deal than 1 year. Not sure what some people complain about with scam reviews or trying to break contacts but I was willing to put up the money and it basically served my intended purposes listed above.2. I will admit that I was surprised that most of the regular group is older than I expected. I was 26 and feel like I was always the youngest. But I met new people at every event and people pop on and off the radar too so if you’re looking to meet someone perfect for you quickly you probably need to be more patient. I’ve actually enjoyed getting to know some of the older members and some are kindly protective over new folks getting ambushed by weird members3. There are still a lot of costs associated with various events but there are also some free events that are covered by the club. Doubt it’s enough to make back your membership fees but I’ve definitely done things I wouldn’t have tried by myself and had a great time.4. I did end up meeting my fiancé through a current member (he was an old member himself) but I’m not sure I would have kept up with E&A much longer if I hadn’t have met him. It’s fun at first but it does tend to wear off and I got tired of dealing with some dramatic personalities that seem to persist in the group.Overall, I’m glad I joined and I had fun. Paying the membership fees up front made me go to more events but it was steep. But it’s great to get you out of the house and doing different things with different people if you’re single! And who knows you may end up meeting a great partner but I wouldn’t hold your breath on that being your sole purpose for joining the group.
